Caption the Crazy

This week for writing we have been working on a Caption of a farm in groups. I worked with Imogen and we had to choose one out of 3 images to make. do you think you will do it .

This is what we made:

Rock Wren

We have been learning about NZ native birds. I chose to study the Rock Wren, because it has beautiful colours and I thought the name was cool!

What is your favourite NZ native bird and why is it your favourite?

Butterfly

We have been learning about insects . I picked butterfly because it is my favourite insect. what´s your favourite insect?

Victim of the Blobpig

One day, I woke up to the most suffocated, annoying voice imaginable—
like a kazoo having a panic attack underwater.

My ears were bleeding. Not metaphorically. Literally.
I was crying on the inside. On the outside, I looked like someone who had just smelled expired yogurt and realized it was their own breath.

So naturally, I went outside to my beautiful garden—
the one place where I expected peace, birdsong, and maybe a butterfly or two.

Instead, I saw him.
The ugliest creature I have ever seen.

He looked like a blobfish who lost a bet
and had to wrestle a raging pig in a vat of mayonnaise.

His eyes bulged like he’d just read his own internet search history.
His snout twitched in existential confusion.
He grunted something that sounded like, “Hey, you got any kale?”

I screamed. He screamed. A squirrel screamed.
It was chaos. what is your fave Prat

Risk Taker

Today we had to Write about risk taking. I like to do this task because I could be creative and I found it easy.

Have you taken any risks. What were they

Turquoise

Turquoise

The Turquoise monster can only go high as a tree, and it can only go 150m per 2 minutes. Its hard like a metal pole, its tough as your palms and lt has flexibility like a human. It´s colour is teal, it’s skin is like a mermaids tale, and its head is as big as a telephone. The Turquoise monster is long as two babies combined and as wide as a big chair. Turquoise Monster is always icy cold. It eats lettuce, fish, and snakes (not venomous snakes). The Turquoise Monsters favourite time of the year is christmas. There are only 5 in the word .

duffy

Thank you Duffy for donating me and my school these books. Thank you to the Avonhead Rotary for also making this possible. The books I got are Baby Sitting Club 15 and Sweet Valley Twins. I am looking forward to reading this over the school holidays!

What is your favourite book?

Lochness monster

this week we have been writing about the Lochness monster. Here is my story.

A lochness monster is a mythical creature  that is mixed with shark, whale and dolphin.  It is as fast as a cheetah. The monster is hard to find because its coloured like the ocean. The Lochness monster is as big as a shark and as wide as a table. His favourtie time of year is Easter because he can get out of the ocean and eat bunnies. The rest of the time he likes to eat fish and people. This helps him to stay large.

Swimming

For the past 2 weeks, we have been going swimming. Lately, I have been learning how to float, how to dolphin dive and keep warm in the water with a group of people.  I learnt how to get in the pool safely. I also learnt that when you wear pyjamas or clothes they become really sticky. But when the water is colder they are not sticky, but when the water is warm they become very sticky. I learnt that we can go under the boat during a storm in the ocean, there is more air and protection under the boat. My favourite part was the pyjama day, it was really funny and fun.

If you were in my year, what would be your favourite part about the activities we did?

Hip hop DJ inspires readers

Today in the afternoon, we saw DJ Danny. My favourite part was about the singers that he likes such as Stan Walker. DJ Danny was promoting Duffy and encouraging kids to read. One of his favourite books was the story of Waihiko.
My favourite book is The Baby Sitting club.

If you were to perform in front of the world, where in the world would you want to perform?
